These photos were taken at our June 21, 2006 sharing at Orlando's Lake Eola Park.

Orlando Food Not Bombs members serve food. Today's meal included vegan soup with vegetables and rice, mashed potatoes, corn, fruit salad, green salad, and sliced watermelon.

George Crossley, president of the Central Florida Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union (on the right, in the gray T-shirt), enjoys the food while he talks to fellow diners about what it's like to be homeless in Orlando. The Central Florida ACLU is expected to, on Monday, June 26, file a class-action lawsuit against the city of Orlando, challenging a proposed city ordinance that would ban groups from sharing food in Orlando's public parks. Orlando Food Not Bombs members will be some of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit.

WDBO-AM (580) reporter Mike Synan conducts an interview at the sharing with someone who came out to eat.
